About the interior:
- Our family has been living on the island of Korcula for centuries and we rent one of our houses. The interior is decorated with portraits of our ancestors and family artifacts.
About the history:
- We don't know exactly when the house was constructed. The base was certainly constructed at the time of the initial urban planning of the town in the 13th century. The upper floors were added later and stone masonry of the upper floors is in typical Venetian Gothic architectural style. The style is similar to the base of the Korcula cathedral which was initiated in the early 15th century. In other words, the house is 500 to 700 years old.
Our family has been living in the town of Korcula for 400 years. We spend part of our time on the island and rent one of our houses.
- The closest beach is underneath the city walls. It is a rocky beach that is our favorite, and not only due to it's vicinity, but due to it's beauty :)
- There are other beaches on Korčula that can be reached by foot or a vehicle (i.e. bus or a taxi boat), as well as amazing islets surrounding Korčula.
- The town gets very busy in the summer, but our street is quite calm - compared to the rest of the town.
