In 2010 this 250 year old enchanting stone villa "Gelci", was lovingly restored. The Villa has many lovingly well-preserved and delicately exposed details of the original country house which have been combined with a modern country home, creating a truly unique style. The Villa "Gelci" is an extraordinary example of a careful and deliberate renovation. The interior of the house was gutted, but the 250-year-old floor tiles and the original oak beams have been carefully preserved. The old rough stone masonry blends in with smoothly trowelled walls painted in delicate colours; the new country doors fit nicely to the old style of the house. The invitingly large farmer's kitchen with modern white built-in cabinets with stone worktop works nicely with its exposed wooden ceiling beams and painted earth tone walls. The modernity can be recognised only by the inconspicuous integrated electrical appliances such as dishwasher, washing machine, stove, microwave and much more. The kitchen with its cosy dining area offers a cheerful place for cooking.
The living room with the comfortable sofas in a floral style promises cosy evenings by the fireplace, or in front of the TV. The upstairs bedrooms are in the truest sense of the word beautiful. Here you can spend nights in a four-poster bed dreaming of the sea that we can hear outside. The bathrooms are modern, with a combination of ceramic, wood and tiles and the underfloor heating. There is a walk-in shower and a bathtub with jacuzzi function. From the bedrooms there are great views: either of the hills of eastern Istria, the sea or the beautifully landscaped garden. The attractive natural garden surrounds the house and the pool area. The garden is full of fruit trees, beautiful flowers and herbs. Numerous decorative objects from ancient times are stylishly and skilfully placed around the garden.
