Originally built to house livestock downstairs and family above, its thick, natural walls provide incredible insulation, keeping the lodge refreshingly cool even in the height of summer. The Rose Room and lounge maintain their historic character without windows, adding to the cosy, intimate atmosphere—enhanced with warm lighting. The Rose Room, a charming double bedroom with en-suite, provides a peaceful haven for those seeking a simple, restful retreat. The Bluebird Apartment offers a kitchen, bathroom, lounge with sofa bed, ideal for a self-contained stay. Wake to birdsongs and misty morning views, spend your days exploring forest trails, spotting red deer, golden orioles, and white-tailed eagles, and unwind by the firepit under a canopy of stars. Our thoughtfully designed spaces embrace soft lighting, natural textures, and warm, inviting decor, creating an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. Enjoy our self-serve café and mini bar, gather around the communal BBQ and pizza oven, or borrow a bike and cycle through the charming local villages. Spend a lazy day round our natural pond enjoying the views across the valley, or try wild swimming (adult only). Our Rewild Kitchen hosts breakfast each morning except Tuesday and supper nights are hosted Thursday to Monday. Nearby thermal spas offer the perfect way to soak away stress. Our Story – A Journey to Rewilding & Simplicity We fell in love with Koppány Pines in 2020, drawn by the dream of a slower, more natural life in the Hungarian countryside. Some call us quirky, rustic, and bohemian, but at heart, we’re about human rewilding—reconnecting with nature, embracing old skills, and finding well-being in a simpler way of living. The panzio is part of our garden campsite, although it has it's own garden area with outdoor furniture to relax. We recycle and upcycle where possible and are working towards sustainability and you will see evidence of this through our home and garden. You are welcome to inspect our kitchen garden and even help weed if you like! Here, you will fully appreciate a sense of peace and connection. Spend your days exploring forest trails, watching wildlife, foraging, or simply unwinding by the firepit under a starry sky. We invite you to step away from the fast-paced world and into a hygge-inspired retreat, where simplicity, comfort, and nature create an unforgettable stay as we share our home with you.
