Our guesthouse is located in Hungary's largest contiguous forest, in the Váraszó valley of Ó-Bükk, 6.5 km from the nearest settlement, Váraszó. Here there is no phone signal, no noise and no people, but there are trees, animals and birds chirping – just You and the Nature. Each of the two spacious bedrooms have 3 single beds and a bunk bed. A large dining room and a lounge are used to get together. Of course, why would you spend your time indoors, since the chirping of birds and the fresh air will certainly entice you out of the walls... In the garden surrounded by trees, you can play football, badminton or BBQ. Or you can just stretch out comfortably under the shady trees in the hammock... We also have a wood-fired wooden bath tub for 7 people. Here, you wouldn't be able to press your smartphone, but you could get in touch with the forest. Here, you don't turn on the heating by pressing a button, but you can enjoy the view of the tile stove and the fire in the fireplace. The guest house's water supply is provided by a domestic waterworks, but there is also a spring with excellent water in our immediate neighborhood. And although there is electricity (from a solar panel or generator), we would still recommend you to discover the magic of candlelit evenings!

The surroundings of the house are excellent for hiking and relaxation, the Kohász Kék tourist route also leads here. Those who are not yet familiar with this region will be amazed at the deep gorge valleys, undisturbed forests, old orchards and huge sandstone cliffs. The only sandstone mountain region in our country - here, along the Slovakian-Hungarian border - was closed to visitors for a long time, since its northern part belonged to the border strip. It is far from any major cities, it is also off the main tourist routes, but thanks to this it is undisturbed, which gives a unique atmosphere to this wonderful mountain region. Few people know that this region hides one of our country's largest forest reserves (“old-growth forest”), and neither the lynx nor the only grouse species of our country, the Hazel grouse, have died out here.
