Meos Ambower Homestay is a perfect base from which to explore the Pam Islands. On the other hand, as an uninhabited island with some lovely small, secluded beaches and no telecommunications, Ambower is also a perfect place for for private downtime: The choice is yours. The Pam Islands are a group of low sand cays that have the best beaches we’ve seen in Raja Ampat. Beaches where the sand slopes away into the ocean so there’s no risk of walking on coral when you enter the water. Meos Ambower is no exception. Enjoy easy access to a rich marine environment where dense schools of fish will often be seen below your bungalow. The popular tourist drawcard of Piaynemo is nearby and a visit to the lookout there can be combined with snorkelling the famed reefs of Melissa’s Garden. Mantas, dolphins and whales are frequent visitors. (All are wild animals with their own schedules though, so, naturally, a sighting or encounter can’t be guaranteed on any particular day!) The much larger Pam Island is right next door to Ambower. A quick boat ride across the narrow strait that separates the two islands will place you at the beginning of a path that connects Pam’s two villages.

We provide some snorkeling tours around the Fam Islands, one of the most visited is Piaynemo Island which is one of the icons of Raja Ampat because the view from above is extraordinary, not only beautiful scenery but there are several diving/snorkeling spots. The most visited are Mellisa Garden and Fam Wall, all of which you can reach in just 15 minutes. How to Get there Fly to the city of Sorong (SOQ) and then you need to take the ferry to Waisai, there are 2 ferries that operate every day from 9am and 2pm, then we will pick you up at Waisai Harbor and take a boat to the homestay for 2 hours and the price is 2 million per boat maximum 4 people.
