Batur Sunrise Guesthouse is owned an operated by Nicky (Australian - Hotel/Hospitality/Pastry Chef Background) and Andre/Putu (Balinese - Born and lived in the area all his life/ Trekking & Tours/ Motor Cross) and our small crew. Both are very passionate about the property and have put their heart and souls into creating a place that leaves you with fond memories of your visit. Both hosts saw the opportunity to take a run down derelict building and turn it into something beautiful, what originally started as a quick fix me up turned into something much bigger, Nicky is responsible for the room décor, design and finishing, while Andre has been responsible for over seeing the workers and making sure things have been done the way we have seen and dreamed. Andre is also responsible for turning the barren yard into the beautiful lush gardens you see today. Nicky and Andre are always thinking and planning and set their goals to create a place (using what they had) into something a little bit unique to the area. Some things are still are work in progress and there are still more plans and ideas in the pipeline, we love to see our guests smile and are very open to feedback good and bad.

Batur Sunrise Guesthouse has been open to the public since June 2019 after a long 2 and half year renovation and refurbishment. It's an older building which required a little bit of tender, love and care to bring it back to something that would appeal to our guests local and from afar. With a splash of colours and soft furnishings we aimed to create a space that is inviting and feels like a home away from home we do not promote our property as new and modern it does have a little bit of wear and tear, but we hope to create an atmosphere which is more than just superficial and what you see. 10 Rooms surrounded by lush gardens, water features, gazebo, fire pit and numerous places to sit and relax away from the hustle and bustle outside. We have two family rooms that are ideal for parents with children's and sleep 4, also we offer one interconnecting room which will sleep 4. Free onsite parking and Wifi. Situated off the main streets in central Kintamani, our place is a starting point for Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking so no need to wake up in the wee hours of the morning and travel for hours prior to your hike, our experienced guides meet you at the premises and away you go. There are a large number of tours and activities to do around the region (hotsprings, jeep tours, cycling tours, lake tours just to name a few) and we are more than happy to assist you.

The Kintamani area is a place of interest to those wishing to see or participate in the Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking, however there is a great deal more to see and do in the area but not so well known to visitors and we are really trying to encourage people to stay a few days and really take in all there is to see and do. There are alternate Treks for those not wishing to climb the Volcano instead you may opt to trek up the Caldera or Mount Abang. Several Jeep Tours operate in the area with a wide selection of jeeps catering to the number of people can be used, touring the black lava, several eruption sites, underground caves and through local vegetable gardens, also sunrise jeep tours are an option for those unable to hike. Several Hot Springs, Cycling Tours, Cultural Tours, Canang (Balinese offering) making classes, Canoeing, Temple Tours, Boat tours on the Lake, Trunyan Village and Cemetery, Fishing, ATV Riding, Motor Cross Riding, Batur Geopark Museum, Coffee Plantations and Agriculture Farms.
