We've been operating (and growing!) since 2012, and love to connect our guests with the lush nature and ancient culture of Bali. The property is situated in the Sok Wayah Subak (rice field). The Subak system of rice farming has been in place in Bali for over 1000 years, and is heritage listed as a system that incorporates both the cycles of nature, the work of humans and the blessings of the Gods.

Our eco-stay is a collection of seven handcrafted traditional Joglos, ranging from cozy singles and doubles, to spacious family bungalows.
At the heart of our property is our commitment to sustainability. Our simple timber Joglos are built from antique and recycled wood with minimal concrete. We don't have air conditioning - the timber buildings are designed to breathe, and there are fans in all the bedrooms and living areas. We grow much of our own food, keep animals for produce and compost, and produce some of our own energy through solar and wind (our onsite windmill).
Each Joglo is simple but elegantly furnished. They are are not fully sealed, and the bathrooms are open air in parts, so the property won't be suitable if you don't like dealing with nature, including insects.
Guests experience the smell and sounds of nature, explore our thriving organic vegetable farm and feed the animals. Breakfast is complimentary with your stay, and our on site restaurant serves meals and snacks all day until 8pm. You can enjoy authentic Balinese dishes at our farm-to-table restaurant—all grown or sourced right here.
PLEASE NOTE : The property is situated off the 2 km into a rice field with NO CAR ACCESS. The start of our rice field is the main road of Ubud. The walk to and from the property takes around 20-25 minutes (or you can take a scooter taxi). The positives are that you are out of the hustle of Ubud centre, enjoying nature, but if you don't want to walk in and out of the rice field the property may not be for you. Also, is it suitable for guests with mobility issues for the same reason.
CHECK-IN : Your check-in will be co-ordinated with our staff who will meet you at the main road when you arrive, and take you and your luggage to the Joglo by scooter. Check-in hours are from 2-630pm. If you will be later than that we require you to use our local driver who will do the late night check-in. His charge for an airport pickup is IDR450,000.
