The little rural community of Creggs can be found in the northwest of County Galway, not far from the County Roscommon border. Despite having a small population, Creggs is surrounded by lush, beautiful countryside, giving visitors a true taste of rural life. The bustling town of Roscommon is only a short drive from the village, which also features a local store, a tavern that serves meals, and a fish and chip restaurant. Why not head to the Lough Rea shoreline to try your hand at fishing or rent a boat along the Shannon? Strokestown House and Gardens, which also houses the Irish Famine Museum, is also easily accessible. Just over an hour away are the mediaeval, cobbled streets of Galway, where you can enjoy delectable seafood cuisine, authentic Irish music, and "the craic." The West and North West of Ireland may be explored well from Creggs.
