We are a family home within walking distance of Bantry town centre ideally suited for touring the Sheeps Head, Mizen and Beara Penninsulas. We offer free parking and are less than a mile from Bantry Golf course and just over an hour from Cork airport. The start of the Ring of Kerry is 45 minutes from us and Killarney is an hours drive through some of the most scenic landscapes in Ireland. We offer complimentary tea/coffee on arrival and our extensive breakfast menu comprises of all locally sourced produce. We bake our own bread on the premises and offer a selection of mouthwatering preserves. Many of our guests come to the area to do some Hill-walking or cycling. The promenade walk along the shore of Bantry Bay can be accessed directly behind our house and offers a twenty minute walk into Bantry with the Caha Mountains and nearby Whiddy island as part of this enchanting vista. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk from our home and we can arrange collection or drop off. Please feel free to sit in our gardens and enjoy the views of nearby Seskin mountains and the changing panorama with each season. You will be assured of a warm irish welcome at Doireliath.

Bantry is an incredible town and is the jewel in the crown of West Cork. Whether you like Hill-walking, cycling, water sports, Golf or simply to relax and take some time out Bantry has it all. We have our annual Chamber Music festival and Literary Festival in June/July and the Masters of Tradition in August. Off season as well we enjoy welcoming perople to the area to take part in numerous activities associated with world famous Bantry Bay. Bantry offers a myriad of shops and restaurants serving the most delicous seafood and local produce. The area is full of historical significance with world famous Bantry House, Whiddy island, famous stone circles and standing stones. Bantry golf club and nearby Glengarriff golf club offer and opportunity to improve your handicap with the most amazing views. The nearby penninsulas offer some of the most spectacular scenery you will find in Ireland.
