Hungry Hill Lodge and Campsite provides several accommodation options. Next to the campsite, we have 6 self-catering rooms for singles, couples and families available in our main building. We also have 3 glamping accommodation that can be found on our campsite: a log cabin, stone cottage and pod, all with their own private facilities. The site is family run by Jamie and Daniel Botermans since 2021. From the moment you check in, we will do our utmost to cater to your every need. Hungry Hill Lodge and Campsite is situated in the heart of the Beara Peninsula, West Cork on the Wild Atlantic Way. We are a family run campsite but also offer hostel and glamping accommodation. The lodge (main building) has 6 rooms of which 4 rooms with shared shower/toilet facilities and 2 family rooms with private facilities. All rooms share a fully equipped kitchen and lounge/sitting room with smart TV. The Stone Cottage was originally a Forge in the copper mine period in the 1800s. Because of the old building structure you will find the private facilities (shower/toilet) in an outhouse building at the back of the cottage. The cottage has a double bed and is equipped with a kitchenette including tea and coffee making facilities as well as a toaster, microwave and refrigerator. In summertime there will be tents surrounding the cottage but we keep them away in order to safeguard your privacy. The Hungry Hill Pod has the look of a cosy, old shepherd's hut and offers you the luxury comfort of a tiny house. It's suitable for max. 2 adults and 1 child with a double bed and single upper bed and a seating area with collapsible table. It has its own shower and toilet and a fully equipped kitchen with kettle, microwave, 2 range induction hob and refrigerator. The wooden framed porch overlooks the campsite and has its own outdoor seating area (covered). The log cabin was recently upgraded (2025) and has its own shower & toilet and a fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom has a double bed and bunk bed, making it perfect for families or a group of friends. The south facing porch overlooks the campsite with additional seating as well as a grassed area with picnic table. Our location is an excellent base for walking and cycling. Nearby are two golf courses, riding stables, sailing, kayaking and there is excellent shore fishing. So, explore what we have to offer and book today.

Hungry Hill Lodge and Campsite is the perfect location for touring the South West of Ireland including Mizen Head, Killarney National Park, the Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula and Dursey Island with Ireland's only cable car. A truly breathtaking experience is to be found on the wild, rugged and unspoilt wonderful Beara Peninsula. Our local deli shop, The Pass, is open daily and just 200 metres away that stock daily fresh produce. There's a coffee/ice cream van and chipper van onsite, both open during the summer weekends.
