The house is located in a secluded cul de sac just 1.25 miles from Westport town centre, one of Ireland's most beautiful and popular coastal towns, lively throughout the year with music, art and food festivals, sporting events, restaurants, bars and nightlife to enjoy year round. Westport is based along the Wild Atlantic way on the shores of Clew Bay in Co. Mayo, offering a plethora of outdoor and cultural activities for all ages to enjoy. Westport has been voted the ‘Best Place to Live’ in Ireland by The Irish Times. It's a designated Heritage Town and Clew Bay is said to have a island for every day of the year. It's an area of outstanding natural beauty, and the town itself is just 1km from the coast. In and around the town, is the Greenway, which uses disused railway to create peaceful and safe pathways for walking, cycling, sightseeing and enjoying the local scenery. Westport is just 5 miles from Ireland's Holy mountain - Croagh Patrick, and is within easy reach of several blue flag beaches. Places of interest nearby also include: Westport House, The National Famine Memorial, Achill Island, Kylemore Abbey, Connemara and Cong where 'The Quiet Man' film was made.
