Dar Dalya was a private residence built in 1976. Transforming the house into a boutique guesthouse has been a delicate process, with
every element of the rebuild preserving the memory and essence of the original design.
Dar Dalya offers four dwellings. Two for two guests, the others for three, available to rent either separately or together as a villa.
Every house is thoughtfully curated, inviting guests to slow down. Each space features locally designed and manufactured furnishings, with elegant, functional, and Nordic undercurrents.
Cross-flow ventilation design ensures Dar Dalya remains light, airy, and cool during the summer months.
The terrace garden invites relaxation and conversation, while many nooks encourage gathering and dining al fresco.

Hey! I’m Walid, the architect behind Dar Dalya. Although I call Haifa home, I grew up in Daliat El-Carmel and spent my childhood speeding up and down a road carved into the mountain by Beit Oren on my bike. I call it “Forest Road,” but really it’s the best lookout to the sea whether you’re coming or going.
Dar Dalya was a private residence built in 1976, welcoming family, friends, and travelers throughout the years. Transforming the home into a boutique guesthouse has been a thoughtful process, with every element of the rebuild preserving the memory and essence of the original design. I think we have the possibility to elevate what we inherit and Dar Dalya embodies that.
Ask me about the best tennis courts, free diving spots, and why a Bryan Adans CD is stuck in my car.
Dar means home in Arabic, and Dar Dalya is your home between the mountains and the sea.
Dar Dalya, located in the tranquil village of Daliat El-Carmel, literally “vine of the Carmel,” sits on the rolling mountaintop of Mount Carmel.
Dotted with centuries-old olive trees, Mount Carmel is a coastal mountain range in northern Israel stretching from the Mediterranean Sea towards the southeast. The range is a UNESCO biosphere reserve.
Surrounded by the slow pace of life, Dar Dalya is the perfect antidote to city life. Just a 15-minute drive to the sea, scenic trails, and horseback riding, and a 30-minute drive to the port city of Haifa, it offers a multitude of possibilities for lovers of nature, hiking, cycling, gastronomy, and good living.
Dar Dalya is architect-designed, combining rural tourism with a contemporary feel. The home’s renovation was carried out by WD Design Studio, blending modern design with a warm and inviting ambiance.
