Namaste, Lieke and I (Karan) live in Pauri, in the house where I grew up. After years of living in the city, I returned to renovate the house and start our community project Adara. We run an inspiration centre and homestay. It is a blend of different cultures and traditions. We love to keep it local and simple. We manage the project, give tuitions, cook homemade food, grow vegetables, do yoga and meditation, paint & play music. Welcome! Usually Lieke and I are both around - managing the project and homestay. Able to assist or have an inspiring chat when space opens up for it! We love to share meaningful moments.

Adara is a farmstay and inspiration centre with Himalayan view. A place where internationals and locals venture ways for simple, authentic, sustainable and abundant life. Come and experience calm yet dynamic community life. Listen to birds in early mornings while having coffee, tea or chai. Gaze at the mountain view. Read a book or join a yoga or painting workshop. Explore our projects (like organic farming, education for children and women empowerment) or take a nap. Enjoy a healthy Indian meal, sometimes with a western twist. The colonial building has been renovated by us and many volunteers. Enjoy unique wallpaints and communal spaces. Cool in summers and cozy in winters. A shared bathroom house gives access to a western and Indian toilet, sink and hot shower. We arrange the rooms with care according to the room that is booked.

We are based at the edge of a mountain town, Pauri. Around us are a blend of family homes. More up are terraces and forest - great for a quiet hike. Within walking distance are a few temples and churches. A 10-minute walk away lies the beautiful Woodfire cafe with pizza-oven, murals & great food.
