The Chendamangalam Synagogue which is a former Orthodox Jewish congregation and synagogue. Completed in 1420 CE, the building was abandoned in 1950s, and was subsequently repurposed as a Jewish museum. Paliam Kovilakam, was the residence of the Paliath Achans, the prime ministers to the Rajas of Kochi. Originally, the Paliam Kovilakam was the 'kalari.' Later, it was renovated by the Dutch during the 17th century. The architectural style of this palace is an amalgamation of the Dutch and the traditional Kerala style of architecture. This three -storey palace features, elaborately carved wooden staircases and balustrades. The palace has a steep roof and heavy wooden beams and it stands in contrast to the architectural style of the Paliam Nalukettu.
