Overlooked by the mighty Aravali mountain range, our resort provides guests with a private setting that fosters a sense of balance by blending seamlessly into nature and cultural harmony. Surya Bagh emphasises the ethereal natural beauty of the area and draws inspiration from the regional vernacular.
The luxury villa in the woods, private & family run, a visit to Surya Bagh is personally supervised by the owners who look into every detail including accompanying the guests on hikes around the valley, food tailored to your taste buds & their fabulous service. There are numerous hikes & trails for the adventure enthusiasts, the surrounding wetlands are a birdwatcher's paradise, tempting even to the uninitiated. After a day filled with adventures, sit back with a drink and watch the unmatched sunset behind the Aravalli perfect for that sundowner. The villa offers visitors the opportunity to go off the urban grid, and yet have access to the luxuries they’re used to. Personally run & managed by Thakur Surya Pratap Singh & Mrs Suman Kumari, the fully staffed villa will serve a mix of international and Rajasthani food using seasonal organic produce and grain that’s either grown on Surya Bagh’s own organic farms or sourced from local farmers from the nearby village.
The countryside surrounding Surya Bagh reveals the ruins of an ancient empire embedded in a starkly beautiful landscape. The 17th-century township of Bhangarh - abandoned just a generation after its completion - sits nearby, as does the centuries-old village, fort and temple of Ajabgarh, which can be reached by foot or camel from the farm.
