My family is originally from the area around Florence, but I've lived in Northern Italy, Switzerland and the Usa for many years. Ten years ago we decided (me, my husband, three children) to move back to the Tuscan countryside, that we love so much. We found this beautiful property -Villa di Campolungo - and we started to restore it, as it had been neglected in the last 30 years. Even the property was in bad conditions, we saw the enormous potential of this little hamlet nestled in the rolling hills around Fiesole, 10 km away from Florence. In fact it was love at first sight and we dedicated 5 years of our life to its restauration, using the traditional materials and reopening the farm. Actually we produce now high quality organic extravirgin oliv oil, that can be purchased on-site.
