Located in an enchanting position, overlooking the archaeological excavations of the Byzantine Baths of Taormina, a stone's throw from the main street Corso Umberto and the cable car to the sea/Isola Bella, Casa Basilicò offers a unique experience to its guests. Thanks to welcoming and comfortable rooms equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and Smart TV you will be immersed in a warm and familiar environment during your stay. The apartment is rented per person, so you need to book for the exact number of people who will enter the house at the check-in.

The name Casa Basilico' was born from the legend of the Moor's Head, one of the symbols par excellence of Sicilian culture. Legend tells of a girl who fell in love with a Moro soldier during the Arab domination in Sicily. The girl was deceived by the soldier who was actually married and had children. The discovery of the betrayal pushed her to kill him, behead him and use his head as a vase for basil. The basil grew luxuriantly, arousing the envy of the neighbors, who began to have head-shaped vases made, a symbol of passion and love.
