Casa Piganò is an apartment in a recently renovated ancient house, dating back to the 17th century. The house is centrally located in the former old historic centre of Appiano. It is situated in a wonderful area renowned own for its innumerable castles and aristocratic residences, vineyards und beautiful surroundings.
The apartment 'Casa Piganò' (75 m²) has two bedrooms - one with a double bed and the other with two single beds - a bathroom, a living room area, a fully equipped kitchen and a pleasant dining area framed by 17th century frescoes. In the living room area there is a sofa bed that can accommodate one more person. The apartment is also equipped with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. From this apartment you can access to the inner courtyard from the outside of the house. This apartment has been recently renovated and furnished with high quality designer furniture and lamps.
From the house you can reach beautiful walking and hiking trails in a few minutes. The village centre with numerous cafés, restaurants and shops is about 10 minutes’ walk away.
San Michele - Appiano is 14 km from Bolzano away; public transport to Bolzano runs every 15 minutes.

The neighbourhood is characterized by numeros ancient buildings dating back to the 16th - 17th century with elements of German Gothic and Italian Renaissance typical of what is known as Oltradige style. From here you can easily reach the woods for a nice walk. With a 10 minute stroll you can reach the centre of the village, where you can find nice cafes, restaurants and shops.
San Michele - Appiano is an ideal destination for hikers, cyclists and culture lovers. It is very well connected to the main traffic arteries, so you can easily reach cities such as Bolzano, Merano, Bressanone and Trento from here.
Day trips to the nearby valleys are also possible by car, for example following the wine route to Salorno or to Val Venosta, Val Passiria, Val Sarntino, or to other areas in the mountains, such as the Parco Naturale di Trodena or the Alpe di Siusi .
Hikers and culture lovers will find a wide selection of marked paths in Appiano and its surroundings, embedded in a wonderful alpine Mediterranean scenery and castle landscape. From easy hiking trails for young and old between vineyards and fruit orchards to more demanding mountain hikes in the Dolomites (Unesco World Heritage).
