Casetta Azzurra is a cosy flat located on the mezzanine floor with an independent entrance in Via Amalfitana 42, in the heart of Monopoli's historical centre. The location is excellent, a few steps from the sea and the city's main attractions, such as the Monopoli Cathedral and the Porto Antico. This air-conditioned flat is approximately 45 m² in size and offers one bedroom, a living room with a fully equipped kitchenette (including a fridge, oven, coffee machine and electric kettle), a private bathroom with shower and toiletries, and a balcony overlooking the inner courtyard. Facilities include a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, hairdryer, iron and luggage storage.

The historical centre of Monopoli, known locally as the “old town”, is a charming tangle of narrow alleys, hidden squares and whitewashed houses overlooking the Adriatic Sea, enclosed by ancient defensive walls. Its origins date back to the early Middle Ages, superimposed on the remains of a 5th century BC Messapian settlement. Strolling through its cobbled streets, one encounters historical buildings such as the Cathedral Basilica of the Madonna della Madia, the Castle of Charles V and numerous ancient churches. The centre has an authentic maritime atmosphere, with the picturesque old harbour where the traditional fishing boats, the typical “gozzi”, painted red and blue, rest.
