The apartment is in the historic center, in the oldest part of the city, 250 meters from Piazza Grande, a quiet, silent area, with very little traffic being in the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone).
Upon arrival I will give you a historical overview of the city and I will point out all the historical/artistic sites to visit, as well as recommending restaurants and anything else you may need.
Arezzo is one of the oldest cities in Italy, founded in 1000 BC by the Villanovan civilization, a civilization of central Italy from 1000 BC, then the Etruscan civilization from the 9th century BC, the last advanced civilization that we know of was in fact the last matriarchal civilization that as we know did not willingly make war. Due to the imprinting of the Etruscan civilization, Arezzo was a very important point in Italy for all human disciplines from the beginning of known history until the Renaissance, when Arezzo and the four valleys that surround it can be considered the cradle of the Renaissance, more than Florence for the first part of the Renaissance. To name three names at random from the Arezzo Renaissance, we can remember Michelangelo born in Casentino, Vasari born in the city and Piero della Francesca born in Sansepolcro, but we can also remember Spinello Aretino and Bartolomeo della Gatta the most important painters born in the city, the Della Robbia family from Valdarno, Signorelli from Cortona and many others as in many other cities. Another character that I like to remember in addition to Guido Monaca inventor of musical notation, to return to the multiplicity of human disciplines explored by the Aretines, is a character who did nothing artistic, he only started an action that took his name, it is a certain Gaio Cilnio Macenate (The action to be Patrons as Medici family), born in Arezzo 2 centuries BC.
