La Dimora del Barbiere, is located a few steps from the famous Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini, originally known as Piano di San Filippo, is a monumental square in the historic center of Catania, from which you can reach Piazza della Cattedrale in less than a minute where located in the center of the Piazza del Duomo in Catania. Its main element is a black basalt statue depicting an elephant, commonly called u Liotru and considered the emblem of the Sicilian city.You can also visit, walking, the main places of interest in the splendid Catania, such as: The Benedictine Monastery, which was declared a national monument by royal decree of 15 August 1869. In 2002 it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as "jewel of the late Sicilian Baroque" i, the Greek theater of Catania, Piazza Università, the beautiful and fascinating fish market (A Piscaria), walk along via Etnea, the main road of Catania from which you can admire the majestic volcano Etna part of the 3,326 m high UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can hike and track.
