Old stone house in suggestive style located on the second and top floor with private entrance. The apartment is in the attic of an ancient house in the beautiful small, medieval village Orciatico with about 200 residents. The village is located in Volterra hills, in the middle of a territory that includes the most important art cities of Tuscany at less than an hour drive - Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra.... The apartment is 48 square meters, renovated in 2005, respects the original structures like terracotta floors, ceilings with wooden beams and is comfortably furnished in a rustic style. It includes a double bedroom, a living room with fireplace and sofa bed for two people, a kitchen, a bathroom and a covered terrace (6 square meters). Parking place just 30 meters away on the street or at the big parking down.

The appartament is our second home and we have spent many vacations and weekends with our family and friends. Our family owns the whole building including more flats, my brothers' are still living at the ground floor. Viktoria is living in Lajatico, she helps us with the reservations, check in and in case of any problems. She speaks more languages and works in tourism so can give realay good advices and information about the area and suggest you also some less-known places to visit and small trattorias to eat.

Here you can escape from the every-day problems and relax after a trip made in Tuscany but you are note isolated. You can see how the italians live with their morning-cafe at the bar or sitting on the square watching the kids playing, they are very friendly. In the village there is a church, a cafe, a small grocery store and an bank ATM . All shops and restaurants are in Lajatico, 7 km, and some larger shoops and weekly markets are 15/25 minutes drive. There is a public bus coming to the village 3 times a day direction to Volterra and Pontedera/Pisa. Volterra is about 20 minutes drive, San Gimigniano is 35 minutes, Pisa 50minutes, Lucca and Siena are about an hour drive, Florence is about 1 hour 20 minutes, the closest seaside is Cecina about 40 minutes drive. The village is surrounded by vast woods which are ideal for extended walks and excursions in the uncontaminated nature, dotted with vestige of the past.
