My Sicily Home can comfortably accommodate 5 people. The house, situated downstream of the hills of Salemi, enjoys an excellent panoramic view: both from the balcony and from the garden you can admire the majestic Norman-Swabian castle, which is the master of the wonderful historic center of Borgo di Salemi, and the beautiful green of the trees of the Monte delle Rose: a huge expanse of pines that together with the Mediterranean scrub constitute the highest part of the city. The strong point of the house is certainly the garden: entirely fenced with private gate, and a covered patio is the part of the house that you will most love to enjoy the relaxing Sicilian sun or where you can taste excellent lemonade that you can get by collecting the beautiful organic fruits of our lemon tree. I and my wife Rosalba have been a host for some years now, We really love this activity, and we have always dreamed to create by ourself a place to tell our passions, where to meet people to share experiences with. There is a thought of the famous writer Paulo Coehlo that expresses our idea of ​​hospitality very well: "Love is not in the other, but inside ourselves. We are the ones who wake it up. But, because this happens, we need the other one. The universe makes sense only when we have someone to share our emotions with ... ". We treasured this thought, almost a philosophy of life, and from there started the desire to create this house, with the idea of ​​becoming the extension of your homes, a place to share your story, a surreal dimension where inventing and telling moments of relax, travels, experiences. Salemi is a beautiful Arab-medieval village that will conquer you with its ancient streets. Recently included in the Club of the most beautifuI villages of Italy, it is really famous for its dinners and volitive altars in honor of Saint Joseph: in the week of March 19th there is a big party, where many typical Sicilian dishes are prepared and offered. The city is gathered around its Norman_Sevevo castle of the XII-XIII, which is the pride of the country and a must for tourists arriving in Salemi. With the entrance ticket of the castle you can also visit the Palazzo dei Musei (former Jesuit College), consisting of 4 museums: the Mafia Museum, the Landscape Museum, the Museum of the Risorgimento and the Museum of the Sacred Art. The strength of the city of Salemi is that it is located in a strategic position compared to many sites of cultural interest in Western Sicily: among them the Temple and the Theater of Segesta, the Archaeological Park of Selinunte, the medieval village of Erice, the Cretto di Burri in Gibellina, the Island of Mozia. The beautiful beaches of Selinunte, Castellammare del Golfo can be reached in half an hour. Even the famous beach of San Vito lo Capo is not very far from Salemi.
