Residenza Teatro Antico was born from our passion for the city of Todi and the Umbria region as a whole. Located in the heart of the city, just 60 meters from Piazza del Popolo and close to all major points of interest, our offers an ideal location. Restaurants, bars, and shops are just a few hundred meters away, allowing guests to enjoy the city by strolling around. The apartment, converted into a B&B, dates back to the 2nd century BC and was built on the remains of the ancient Theater of Todi. During the two years of renovation, we focused on ensuring comfort and elegance, aiming to provide exclusive rooms with unique views of the Tiber River valley, framed by the Martani Mountains. Our services include Wi-Fi, satellite TV, permission for parking in the historic center, and partnerships with the city's most renowned restaurants. Additionally, we offer a personalized breakfast with local products, prepared with passion for our guests. Our passion and the joy of sharing life experiences through our work are the driving forces that constantly push us to improve our services and the structure itself. Hello, we are Sandro and Roberta, a couple who moved from the province of Rome to Umbria a few years ago in search of a better quality of life for ourselves and our children. We chose Todi because it offers the human scale and pace that best suits our needs, as well as being a city rich in history and culture, proudly unique over the centuries. Our journey in the hospitality industry has been a natural progression of our previous work experiences, both with a decade-long background in our hometown. Today, we are proud to have built businesses recognized by our customers and major players in the hotel industry, becoming points of excellence for the quality of services offered. What particularly makes us proud is the passion with which we carry out our work. As we often tell our guests, "we have fulfilled the desire to travel the world by bringing the world into our home." Describing Todi in a few lines is not an easy task, but I can certainly say that the charm of this city, built on Etruscan and Roman remains, and later shaped by medieval urban development and subsequent centuries up to the present day, leaves visitors amazed at every alley and monument they can explore in just a few days... "in the most livable city in the world." Monuments such as the Cathedral, Piazza del Popolo, the Town Hall, the Civic Museum, the Pinacoteca, the Church of San Fortunato, La Consolazione, the Roman cisterns, the Roman niches, the Fontanile di Scannabecco, and countless other churches scattered throughout the town are hidden gems to discover while strolling through the medieval streets and alleys, immersed in the charm of bustling sounds, enticing aromas, and music that create a unique and enchanting atmosphere in every season. Like other cities in Umbria, Todi offers typical products such as "pizza sotto 'l foco," a pizza topped with our prosciutto, and the best of Norcia's culinary art, including salami, capocollo, exquisite dried sausages, pecorino cheese, homemade pasta, and many other delicacies. Not to mention the mouthwatering Palomba alla Ghiottona and local wines ;)
