The house is close to Lucca (20 km) and Pisa (30 km) and Firenze (100 km). Rustico La Tinaia is an old rural house, or rather a vat room, which I restored from a ruin (conservative restoration, 2012) and transformed into a welcoming rustic house in exposed stone, wood and cork, but equipped with modern energy systems (photovoltaic and heat pumps). The house is on two floors each with bathroom, kitchen and independent entrance, connected by an internal staircase, therefore suitable for two groups. The entrance on the ground floor opens onto the garden, fenced and welcoming, is equipped with a gazebo, porch and dining area. The road ends at the house, free parking is on the road or near or up to about 50-80 meters. La Tinaia is 240 meters above sea level: the view is wide: from the surrounding hills, to Lake Massaciuccoli to the sea with the islands in front. From the garden you can't see any nearby houses, except the one where I stay, an old barn.

I am a retired teacher, I like to host, especially when I receive compliments for the house! I like to take long walks on the free beach of the Lecciona natural park (south of Viareggio) or along the paths and roads around the Tinaia, with spectacular views. I hope that my guests will also appreciate Versilia and also my house..

La Tinaia is located in a strategic position, for those who love nature, culture, mountains, the sea... A short distance away there are the natural parks on the coast, with woods, dunes and free beaches: La Lecciona, Massaciuccoli, Migliarino San Rossore. Inland there is the Garfagnana and for the more experienced, the Apuan Alps, then the cities of art and tourist villages: Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Siena, and then Viareggio, Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi..and you can continue with the Cinque Terre of Liguria not far away... But also from Tinaia you can set off for trekking on the many paths that intertwine with the Via Francigena!
