FABULOUS COUNTRY TRULLO WITH INFINITY HEATED POOL
The rate is fully inclusive: final cleaning (with an additional mid-stay cleaning service from the 10th day), local taxes, and 24/7 assistance.
Situated on a hill a few kilometers from Alberobello, Trullo Olivia is located in the center of an acre of private land surrounded by olive, almond and cherry trees, in a quiet position in the Itria Valley. The Trullo is embraced by wonderful rural views, which can be admired especially in the fiery light of the sunset. The large square overlooks a country road with virtually no traffic, therefore safe for families with small children. One of the cycle paths that cross the Itria Valley passes through here. Other paths unravel nearby, ideal for long, pleasant walks or jogging.
Trullo Olivia can accommodate up to 6 people in three large bedrooms, two double and one with single beds and two bathrooms with shower. All bedrooms have air conditioning. The fully equipped kitchen was renovated in 2020. It is also equipped with free WiFi, TV streaming and a smart-working area.
Outside the trullo there is a heated infinity pool for the exclusive use of guests of 50 sqm in the shape of an 'eight', which degrades from 1.2m to 1.5m, surrounded by a large stone terrace, where there is also a stone pool shower.
The heated infinity pool is equipped with a remote-controlled cover to maintain the temperature during the night and early morning hours, and to keep it clean when not in use.
The solarium area is equipped with sun loungers and tables, ensuring guests lazy and relaxing days in the beautiful Italian sun.
Under the shaded gazebo, there is a wood-burning oven for cooking real Italian pizza and a large barbecuing area for preparing excellent grilled meals.
We are an Italian couple currently living and working in Switzerland. We love traveling and discovering new places. The forced closure of borders during the pandemic led us to choose Puglia as a holiday destination.
Gianluca lived as a child for a short period in a trullo in Locorotondo, of which he remembers the immense height of the cone. For me, it was the first time I visited this area of Italy. With the Itria Valley and its uniqueness it was love at first sight.
The idea of finding a house in the countryside but not too isolated, to live in contact with nature but with all the services within easy reach, had been in our thoughts for some time. We had considered other different fascinating areas of our beautiful peninsula, from Tuscany to Sicily. But upon arriving in Alberobello, we understood that this was where we had to look for it.
After two years of research, Trullo Olivia has arrived.
And here our new adventure as host now begins.
Just 5km from Trullo Olivia, is the city of Alberobello, a UNESCO heritage site and capital of the trulli region. Here, in addition to being able to visit the ancient trulli, there are shops, bars, excellent restaurants, banks, pharmacies, supermarkets and all services.
Beyond Alberobello, the surroundings offer a series of delightful towns, with characteristic historic centres: within a radius of about ten km Locorotondo and Martina Franca; just further away Cisternino and Ostuni. Without forgetting the cities of Taranto, Matera and its famous 'Sassi', or the wonderful rock houses; or Lecce, the baroque city.
For nature lovers, the beautiful karst caves in Castellana, the Bosco delle Pianelle hiking area or the routes on the water cycle route are of particular interest.
And for younger guests, the Zoo safari in Fasano), Acqua Splash Alberobello, Acquapark Egnazia.
The Adriatic coast, with its golden beaches, is about 30 minutes away by car: Savelletri, Torre Canne, Monopoli offer guests multiple solutions, both public and private.
Polignano a Mare, the most welcoming city in the world in 2023 according to Booking, white and perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, is 34km away.
Bari airport is 75km away and Brindisi airport is 76km away.
There are guides and lots of information in the trullo to assist our guests during their stay.
