Does the idea of staying in an original Tuscany countryside villa appeal to you? Podere Belvedere is a renovated hilltop farmhouse nestled above the little village of Carmignano surrounded by olive trees and vineyards offering a 360° stunning view over the Tuscany countryside. Florence is only 25kms/15miles away, Siena and Pisa are close, too, allowing to visit such beautiful towns and stay away from the bustle and hustle of the cities, soaking up the sun and relaxing around the private pool. Podere Belvedere dates back to the XIX century and has been tastefully restored with attention to detail, keeping the ancient country style, but providing all modern comforts. Indoor amenities include large lounge areas with original wood Tuscany furniture, a wood-burning fireplace, panoramic windows and air conditioning. The open-air area offers a huge fenced garden with olive trees, cypress trees, fruit trees, and aromatic plants, private parking, and mainly a lovely private and big saltwater swimming pool (open June to September), with sofas and chairs for complete poolside relaxation. The old barn has been converted into a large loggia with a kitchen/barbecue area for 'al fresco' dining.

Just 1 km away is the small town of Carmignano, with typical cafes, restaurants, local shops, banks and pharmacies. The nearest supermarket is in Seano, going down for only 3 km. In Carmignano itself, not to be missed are the ancient Pieve di San Michele, dating back to the fourteenth century with a beautiful original painting by Pontormo (The Visitation), and the ancient medieval fortress (Rocca). During the summer various events are organized by the Municipality of Carmignano, which has developed an excellent website. Given its location, arriving by car is a must, as the local transport, while reliable, often does not meet the needs of tourists. Parking is not a problem, as the villa offers private parking at no extra cost. Once in Carmignano, we strongly recommend NOT to follow the GPS directions, but this itinerary: from the Church of San Michele take Via Chiti uphill, which turns into the winding Via Castello, until you reach n. 39. However, if you arrive in front of the church and you call us, we shall come and get you in a few minutes.
