The private family bath is located on the first floor, and a separate shower room that was newly installed due to the high demand from foreign tourists.
Kamuroan's private family baths are not hot springs. You can use the shower only, but you can also fill the bathtub with hot water and take a bath. In Japanese houses, usually bathroom and toilet are separated.

If you come to Kamuroan, please relax and feel like you are in your own home or your relatives' home in Japan.
In the dining room, you will be able to have a pleasant conversation with Okami-san. Here is one of the reviews from our customers. It's probably more persuasive than what Okami-san says.
The best parts of our stay (and one of the best parts of our trip to Kyoto in general) were the delicious food (we LOVE the "Kamuroan-style") and the extremely kind and welcoming hosts. Our goal in coming to Japan was to talk with Japanese people and learn about the culture, and okami-san went above and beyond to help us achieve this goal. She shared a wealth of information about Japanese customs, and had excellent recommendations to guide our sightseeing. Learning to make matcha and how to politely enjoy it was the cherry on top of an amazing experience.
I hope you will be happy that you get to experience the wonderful traditional cultures of Japan.
