Maverick camp Rondavels and Homestay hugs the slopes of Aberdare ranges, barely 156 Km North East of Nairobi, in Wanjohi Happy Valley, about 2300M ASL. Ping: PG4F+VH Ndiara. The location is ideal for weekend outings, meetings, team building, hike to Dragons teeth and Le Satima peak, 7 ponds and Table mountain hikes, escapades to amazing Gura, Karuru, Gura and Chania waterfalls- all within an hour drive, game drives in Aberdare National Park and ranges. About 30 minutes hike behind the camp are caves that were used by freedom fighters in their quest for independence. You may also scale up to Njangiri Falls, which takes about 2.5 to 3 hours from the camp. The water fall is about 2700M ASL. Variously described by our past visitors as one of the most wonderful escapes from modern living they have ever had, with stunning scenery, rustic atmosphere, calming and perfectly at one with the nature surrounding it, we welcome you to share experience in one of our 5 huts. The cottages are in the traditional style and rather basic, but more than fine to spend a few nights in, with en-suite bathroom, surrounded by green space between them. The camp is outside the electricity power grid hence, hot water bucket is provided for shower. Solar panels provides basic charging capabilities for phones and laptops. Our cozy outside patios/gazebos are perfect for working area, outside dining and or smoking. Smoking in the huts is prohibited. We have green space available for camping too, if you have your camping gear. TV and other entertainments are in the restaurant, common area. Meals can be ordered from our restaurant which operates between 0700hrs and 22;30hrs. Our African Cuisine specialists prepares your order in record 30 minutes to one hour.
