Welcome to my world!
I began this passion project in 2016, upon my return from America where I lived for about 10 years. I happened to come across the land by chance and instantly fell in love with the stunning views and cooler climes. One thing led to another and I decided to build a holiday home in the hills as a harmonious and peaceful retreat to relax, recharge and rejuvenate, surrounded by tranquility and natural beauty.
I now spend the majority of my time at my "home away from home", far from the hustle and bustle of the commercial capital of Colombo. I am an ardent fan of nature and wildlife, and this is a great base for me to enjoy the splendors of this area. I love waking up to the breathtaking vistas of rolling hills and lush greenery accompanied by the soothing cooing of our resident doves that greet me each day.
Living on-site, I take pleasure in developing my land and have planted tea, coffee, spices and various fruit and flowering trees. An amateur photographer, I enjoy observing and taking pictures of the flourishing biodiversity around.
I like meeting people from all parts of the world and enjoy sharing my beautiful home in the hills with visitors to this island paradise. My guests can rest easy knowing they have a trusted resource on hand to answer any queries or provide guidance during their stay at Hapu Tales.
