The Dutch Burgher Union of Ceylon (DBU) was founded in 1908 as a private community union for the Dutch Burgher community in then Ceylon. The original clubhouse was completed in 1912 and an extension built in 2022 to incorporate six modern guest rooms with all facilities, the coffee shop and restaurant.
