In 2010, Bhathiya and his wife Suzy returned from Mauritius with a vision: to transform their ancestral home into a welcoming homestay. By February 2011, The Kandyan Manor was born, offering guests a unique blend of history, hospitality, and local charm.
Bhathiya – The Visionary Host
Known affectionately as “Big B,” Bhathiya is the 5th-generation owner of the manor. His passion for interior décor is evident throughout the property, where every corner reflects his meticulous attention to detail. His engaging storytelling brings the rich history of the village and his ancestors to life, making each guest feel like part of the family.
Suzy – The Culinary Artisan
Suzy is the culinary heart of The Kandyan Manor. Her love for baking, cooking, and sewing infuses the homestay with warmth and authenticity.
