We are both from Gozo and have lived here for 40yrs. We also love to do a spot of scuba diving. Our 300-year-old Gozitan farmhouse located just outside the village of Gharb in the west of Gozo is surrounded by wonderful countryside and spectacular views just perfect for walking, cycling and photography and as a perfect base for Scuba Diving being away from it all and yet never too far to return to after a day out. In Gozo you are never more than 15 mins away from anything. We offer comfortable rooms all individual and all with en-suite facilities and air conditioning, breakfast is served in the guest breakfast room and is varied. We can also arrange transfers from the airport/ferry and vehicle/scooter/bike hire for the duration of your stay as well as tours and of course sports like climbing, diving, kayaking, etc and we have connections to everybody on this island so if its available we have it covered. Hemda Farmhouse is an old farmhouse that has been converted into a four-bedroom accommodation. All bedrooms are air-conditioned (pay-as-you-go coin meter). There are a total of three bathrooms, one of which is an en-suite. One of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor. The old mill room is converted into a combined kitchen, dining and living room which overlooks the pool and deck. This room has traditional features including a high arched ceiling and the old feeding troughs. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher. The outdoor space is beautiful and features a large pool surrounded by decking, sun loungers and other outdoor furniture. The back garden has a sofa area where you can enjoy beautiful sea views, a truly peaceful place to be.

Nestled in western Gozo, San Lawrenz is a picturesque village with a population of approximately 800 residents. Surrounded by the hills of Ta’ Ghammar, Ta’ Gelmus and Ta’ Dbiegi, Gozo’s highest point of 195m above sea level this village is a haven of tranquillity and traditional charm. Established as a parish on March the 15th 1893, San Lawrenz was previously part of the neighbouring locality of Gharb. The village was once called Ta’ Ciangura with records dating back to before the siege of Gozo in 1551 a defining moment in the island’s history. Residents banded together to build their own church laying the foundation stone in 1886 and dedicated it to their patron saint St.Lawrence. San Lawrenz is renowned for dwejra bay and natural wonder featuring the blue hole, inland sea and iconic fungus rock. Visitors are drawn to these geological marvels making it a top destination for divers and nature lovers alike
