Unique two bedroom apartment (120sq.m/1291sq.f) set on the 1st floor of a recently converted 400 year old Palazzino in the historic centre of Cospicua. The apartment sits on the corner of one of the most desirable streets in the Three Cities, just 350m away from the sea and is beaming with natural light, grand features and timeless interior design. From the balcony you can admire the views of the 18th Century Santa Margerita Church and the scenic gardens, bastion walls and skyline of Birgu.
A lawyer by profession, with a passion of freediving, sailing and anything related to the outdoors. I have an interest in history, design and collecting curious and unique pieces, many of which you will find in the apartment, and which have been sourced from online markets, auctions and art exhibitions over the years.
Very much designed like an extension of my own home, the apartment is equipped with all modern commodities and comforts, clever details and a growing collection of local, contemporary and antique artwork. Combined together, the design of the apartment brings solace to the space, providing a memorable and truly local experience.
All guests are provided with a detailed guestbook upon confirmation of booking, which includes personalised suggestions on my favourite restaurants, jazz bars, beaches and must see historical attractions, as well as suggested trekking routes and diving spots.
Santa Margerita is a district of Cospicua (also known as Bormla), a fortified town forming part of the Three Cities. The area is located within the Grand Harbour and is known for its lofty topographical position and rich architecture existing along its streets which survived the heavy bombing raids of the Second World War.
The apartment is situated on a prominent corner of one of the most iconic and intact residential streets and overlooks the charming Santa Margerita Church. It has easy access and free street parking and is a perfect base to explore Malta.
The best way to get around the Three Cities is on foot with many old pedestrianised alleyways to explore. On your walks you will stumble across some of the nearby attractions, namely the Malta at War Museum (300m), the Inquisitors Palace (400m), Santa Teresa Church (400m), St Lawrence Church (500m), Immaculate Conception Church (500m), Malta Maritime Museum (700m) and Fort St. Angelo (1200m). Cospicua is also just a 5 minute ferry ride away from the capital, Valletta.
