The house has two levels: upstairs you will find two bedrooms, and downstairs, the living room, bathroom, and kitchen. The house has amazing open and comfortable spaces. What's unique about Palapa concreta? The Palapa roof —a handmade construction technique consisting of weaving dried palm leaves and beams made of wood from those same palm trees— has an unusual slope of the gable roof, steeper than that traditionally used in the area. In some parts of the house, the palm covering reaches down to touch the floor, which has allowed doing away with traditional vertical walls, thanks to the single continuous plane of the large natural roof. This brings a unique sensation of coziness, lightness and amazing natural circulation of the breeze. The only rooms with solid walls are the bathroom and part of the kitchen; the rest of the downstairs is totally open to the outdoors and enjoys the spectacular view offered by a very special staircase which, in addition to its use for going upstairs and downstairs, becomes a center of activity. Residents can sit, cook, place objects, and use it to view the infinite landscape of western Mexico’s Pacific Ocean. Palapa Concreta offers an incredible opportunity to connect with nature: in the morning you will find yourself listening to the early birds nesting in the tree branches inches away from our balcony or watching the rolling waves. At night, it has a cozy vibe with the warm lights, surrounding plants and the cactus garden. Estamos ubicados en una zona de la costa que no esta gentrificada, un privilegio tener kilometros de costa para caminar, disfrutar y ver los atardeceres sin mucha gente! No hay locales comerciales ni bodegas, solo hay un restaurante muy bueno, con comida local frente al mar
