The 2nd largest barrier reef in the world runs the length of the Yucatan Peninsula. In Puerto Morelos, the Barrier Reef comes right to the surface around 300 yards off-shore. You can watch the white water as the ocean waves break apart and tumble over the coral reef, creating fantastic sights and sounds you must enjoy it from your lounge chair.

Puerto Morelos is a little fishermen town between Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
Not a lot of shops, restaurants or hotels. The local fisherman go out of the town pier and it's frequented by many locals. Life is so quiet and enjoyable.
