Right ON THE BEACH, you couldn't be any closer to the ocean. White powder fine sand beach just a few step from the condo's patio. Protected by the coral reef just 100 yards out and where you can see the waves breaking (see photos), this is considered one of the best beaches in the area with very calm, clear and warm waters. Perfect for snorkeling. As an alternative, the pool is located between the condo and the ocean.

Claudio Barbero-Montagna was born and raised in Santa Fe City, Argentina. He is of Spanish and Italian descent on his mother's and father's side, respectively. He has traveled extensively and believes traveling is the fuel to one's imagination. He usually makes architectural tours out of his time in different cities. Lived for 25 years in Vancouver (Canada), 1 year in Paris, 5 years in Riviera Maya (México) and presently he spends his time between Philadelphia (where his husband lives) Venice (Italy) and Vancouver. He is inspired by: good design, kindness, the moon, good wine and talented people.

The beach and pool are shared with the next-door Sunscape Akumal Beach Resort & Spa Hotel (former Oasis Tulum). So at any given time you'll have hotel guests and condo owners/tenants sharing the beach chairs, umbrellas (palapas in Mexico) and pool. They make sure the beach is perfectly clean. The only thing you won't be getting is the free booze or any of the 'all inclusive' services. Your 'all inclusive' will be the fridge in the unit. The road to get to the condo from the highway (0.6mi/1km) is a dirt road. If you were to get there for the first time at night you would think 'where the heck am i going?' as you drive in with jungle on both sides. Don't worry, it gets really nice once you get closer to the unit. Shopping for food would be fairly difficult to do by using public transportation (you would have to carry the food shopping bags in the crowded small public transportation vans, 'colectivos').The closest large supermarkets are 15 mins north or 15 mins south of the condo (by car). Without a car it gets tricky. Smaller first necessities supermarkets are 5 mins north by car (Akumal Beach, not Akumal Town) or 5 mins south by car (Chemuyil), .
