My wife and I live in the San Francisco Bay area with our 3 adult daughters. We fell in love with Litibu in 2019 and bought Casa Loma as a refuge to enjoy with family, friends and guests. It is a magical place of solitude and rejuvenation.

Litibu is a gorgeous, near-private beach in an unspoiled and remote expat community. It is not a resort. If you haven’t spent time in undeveloped Mexico, the condition of the town might be surprising if you are expecting US norms. There is no gate to the community. You must rent a car to access the house and surrounding amenities. The roads are dirt and can be muddy and rutted during the rainy season. There is no room service. You might lose power for small periods of time during your stay (although we have battery backup at the house to provide power for a brief period of time during outages). All this being said, if you want the best beach in Nayarit all to yourself, great sunsets, and the serenity of a tropical non-commercial setting, you’ve found the right place. Litibu is accessed by a dirt road that includes crossing a creek bed that is dry in the high season months but generally has some water flowing during the rainy season months (July to October / November). Litibu consists of 50 houses along the beach next to the non-resort town of local residents called Higuera Blanca. Litibu is between two very well-known tourist towns, Sayulita, 7 miles to the north, and Punta Mita, 3 miles to the south. Both of these towns have tons of restaurants, activities, healthcare and services to which you would drive as needed.
