Bonheur at Karambunai is a small, owner-managed vacation rental management company based in Kota Kinabalu. Unlike a hotel, our villas are privately owned homes. Each villa has its own unique personality and home-like comfort, but what they all share is our commitment to warm hospitality and quality service to make your stay as comfortable as possible. For international travellers considering a stay with us, please be aware that our villas are situated in a secluded area, approximately 35-45 minutes from the city centre, subject to traffic conditions. It's important to note that Bonheur manages only 8 villas, limiting our ability to assign adjacent villas for guests booking multiple accommodations. Restaurants and supermarkets are around a 20-minute drive away, and transportation options are limited, so we recommend arranging a car or transfers in advance. During the quiet of 2020, we undertook a full renovation, refreshing and upgrading each villa. Today, every “Bonheur” villa has its own distinctive style and atmosphere — no two are the same. We now manage a collection of eight private pool villas in Karambunai, each designed to provide comfort, privacy, and a memorable stay. Ranging from affordable to premium, our selection has you covered. The name Bonheur means happiness in French, and that is exactly what we hope you’ll find during your stay with us. Located just 28 km from Kota Kinabalu, our villas offer direct access to a breathtaking 6 km stretch of white sandy beach.
