From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Effective from 1 July 2022, please note that there will be a Local Government Fee of MYR 3 per room night imposed by the City Council of Penang. This payment is not included in the room rate and should be made upon check-in at Mercure Penang Beach.
Please note that the property does not accept third party payment cards. Please present the same credit card used to guarantee your booking when checking in / making payment at the hotel. If you are making payment using another cardholder's credit card, kindly provide the following to the hotel prior to your arrival: 1) Authorization letter with cardholder's signature 2) Copy of the cardholder's card (front and back of card with cardholder's signature) Please note that hotel may contact the cardholder for verification purposes.
