I am 41 years old, with a Masters in Economics & Finance (2nd Lower) from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland. I was an Investment Banking Executive at CIMB Islamic back during the early 2000s but left that high-flying lifestyle as my interests laid some where else. I am currently a Content Creator at BuzzPop Media reviewing films/TV/games on a weekly basis on YouTube and TikTok. I was also a Trading Card Games Retail Manager at Spartan Games Arena in Wangsa Maju, an Experience Manager at a Digital Nomad US Start-Up, and a Bahasa Malaysia Copywriter at Dentsu Malaysia. The Main Bungalow has 3 rooms and is spacious enough to accommodate 6 people. The Main Bungalow has a kitchen, living room and a balcony to watch the Sun rising. Chalet No 1 is for 2 persons while Chalet No 2 is a two-storey Rumah Kampung meant for 3 persons. Both Chalets have windows with a River view at the back and the Sea view in front. The two GlamCamping units can fit 3 people each and is a more cheaper solution for adventurous types that want to be closer to nature. At The Sanctuary there is: NO TV NO Wi-Fi NO Air-Con We believe in this ethos, so you can unplug from the city fully and unwind within nature... where the private beach is only a few steps away from your lodgings! Wake up to a stunning sunrise and go for a walk on the beach. Explore the ebb and flow of the tidal system which waxes and wanes in the river behind your lodgings. Visit the local stalls to savor authentic Terengganu fare. It is a place for nature lovers, for writers, for thinkers, and for those interested in getting away from the bustling city life! Just beware of the cheeky monkeys on-site, as they are a tad cleverer than some of the top politicians of our land... so keep your windows shut when you're not around to ensure the safety of your belongings.

Ultimately, The Sanctuary @TelagaPapan is a remote area for lovers of nature and local culture! Close by are multiple local attractions such as the wooden Surau Langgar Rindu at Kampung Rhu Tapai, Setiu made from pokok Cengal and Tembusu; explore the natural wonders of the Setiu Wetlands boardwalk which is the largest natural mangrove in the East Coast; and the startlingly emerald green waters of Lata Cangkah near Permaisuri. About 5 kilometers away is Merang Jetty from where you can take a boat to do some island hopping for the day around the Bidong Island. Alternatively you could indulge in a spot of snorkeling at the Marine Park around Redang Island to explore some local flora and fauna. A nearby jetty in Mangkuk also gives you access to island hopping around the Perhentian Islands for the day. If you are seafood lover, 10 kilometers North are multiple Ikan Celup Tepung (ICT) restaurants to explore at Pantai Penarik! We highly recommend NL Celup Tepung Bira Pata for its comfortable beachfront decor, live-music at night and reasonable seafood fare.
