- This lovely clean idyllic luxurious house with lots of privacy is quietly and perfectly located next to a canal in a beautiful part of Giethoorn. - Clean bed sheets, towels, Wi-Fi, washing machine, dishwasher, BBQ / grill, 2 bicycles with panniers, a SUP board, and 2 children’s swimming vests are available for use FREE of charge. (Other Dutch houses charge extra fees for bed sheets and towels for example). - You may rent our private electric boat next to the house for 100 euro extra for the entire stay. The boat fits a maximum of 6 people and is easy to use. A boat license or life jackets are not mandatory. The canals are only about one meter deep and the surrounding lakes and waterways are not that much deeper. - According to our guests: "Lovely clean luxury house perfectly located on the water. At the end of 2021 my wife and I were able to buy this gem. Every time we are here we really experience an oasis of peace, hence the name of the cottage. You are in the middle of old Giethoorn, but it is nevertheless a quiet, private spot and you are not bothered by the tourists. After a renovation of, among other things, the bathroom (now with underfloor heating and rain shower), we also invite you to come and enjoy this Oasis!

Sail straight up the cozy village canal, or to the nearby lakes "Bovenwijde," "Beulakerwijde," and "Belterwijde," or to the beautiful nature reserves of the National Park "Weerribben" and "De Wieden". You can also enjoy swimming in e.g. the Bovenwijde with the cozy "swimming island." The water is shallow (hip height) and nice and warm in the summer. The lovely towns of Meppel and Steenwijk and the forests of Havelte with its unique Dolmens are within cycling distance. You can also take a lovely walk along the cozy houses and canals to the many cozy restaurants and cafes, where you can also enjoy the beautiful view from the terrace. The authentic village of Giethoorn is the "Venice of the North". The characteristic bridges, village canals, beautiful farms and painters' houses with thatched roofs determine the village image. A bus stop is at a short 500 meter distance.
