Hi, nice that you are interested in our cozy village house. We live nearby so you can always contact us for questions or special requests. The house from 1820 does have thresholds because it was built on a dike. It has a cozy living room, an outdoor area with lounge area, a small kitchenette with 2 burner induction hob, Senseo coffee maker, kettle, microwave and small fridge with freezer compartment. Of course we have fans for very hot days. There is a place to do your laundry nearby. There is also a small bathroom with shower and toilet.
Welcome to Burgh Haamstede. We have made this cottage cozy and hope you have a pleasant stay. Let us know if you have any special requests or would like information. We have two dachshunds and enjoy the beautiful nature every day. I am a designer in the creative tech industry and an art and music lover.
You can walk (or cycle) straight into the woods and the ancient dune landscape. Magnificent natural beaches and the overwhelming river delta of the Oosterschelde are just a stone's throw away. In the village of Burgh Haamstede you can enjoy terraces, restaurants and small shops. Ideal if you want to combine peace, space and convenience. There are also supermarkets and the island offers many farms that offer fresh produce from the land. You can rent bicycles nearby in the village. There are a number of old towns such as Zierikzee and Middelburgh that are definitely worth a visit.
