The boat has all facilities a normal house also has, from the quality you expect from a house. The location couldn't be better: inside the buzzing city center, yet on a quiet and peaceful dock.

Sailing is my life. When not at sea I like to feel at home at the places I live. So I have carefully chosen my homes ashore. My house boat in Haarlem has best of both worlds: it is surrounded by water in a great historical city. Also my skipper house in the monumental village Hindeloopen is located at the waterfront. And when I need a buzz and want to get inspired by the city, I very much enjoy staying in the beautiful (and luxurious!) apartment in Amsterdam. I would like to share my homes with you. I am sure you will enjoy! Questions can be asked at any time before, during or after the stay about the city, the boat, or any other questions you might have. I will be quick responding through chat or with a call. The boat will be completely yours and you won't see me around, unless specifically requested. I like to give an in person check-in if the possibility is there. Self check-in is also possible at all times.

The home base of the barge is situated just 1 km from the Amsterdam Central Station in a calm and quiet neighborhood of Amsterdam City Center, at Westerdok. It is just a few hundred meters away from the world famous canals, yet hidden in a calm district of canals that is just as beautiful. Very close to Westerpark and to the free ferries to cross the IJ-river to the stunning upcoming North of Amsterdam. The Canadian Canoe and bicycle make the experience complete. All public transport is in walking distance, while you are already at the epicenter of Amsterdam. There is also 1 bike available for use and bike-rental is also nearby and recommended to do at Amsterdam Central Station.
