The houseboat apartment is especially well suited for families, the master bedroom has a double bed, while the the other has two single beds. The living room /kitchen has a LCD Smart TV with Internet, cable and free WiFi. The bathroom contains a shower with bath. The boat is environmental friendly, as the electricity is self generated with the roof solar panels, while the heating comes from the "pellet heater" an eco-friendly installation which uses pellets, a waste product from the wood processing industry to heat the boat and the warm water.
We are Josta and Bob and live on this great place on the water together with our two kids, Thijs and Sam, and Ben and Jet (our two Swiss Shepard Dogs).
The houseboat is located in a nice piece of water, called "De kom", translated as the bowl, and is directly connected to the water the "ijmeer". Amsterdam Central Station is only 10 minutes away by tram. Bikes can be rented closeby.
