A lovely well-equipped 90 square meter 2 bedroom apartment in a eco-friendly building directly overlooking the surf beach in Flø. It has stunning views of the ocean and the sunset from all rooms, wheel chair access, a large deck with a play area, and a private driveway with free parking for two cars. Sugary white sheltered beaches and a playground are found close by. The changing light is one of the main attraction in Flø, along with the white sugary beaches, the spectacular sunsets, the extremely green fields, the waves, otters, eagles, seals, and the happy cows enjoying their mandatory summer vacation in the meadows. Flø is famous for hiking surfing, biking, climbing and spectacular sunsets, and yet it is unspoilt. If you enjoy the outdoors, or just like to watch wildlife and the ocean from the coach or your comfortable bed, Flø is the perfect destination.
I am a linguist and a nature-lover, and have built a eco-friendly solar powered and heated villa on the surf beach in Flø. I love to help clients plan their vacations to find the hidden gems just off the beaten track.
Flø is a peaceful and beautiful farming community of 190 people in the extreme west of Norway with unbroken ocean views on three sides and dramatic mountains on the fourth. In summer the sun sets into the ocean, and pops right up again, creating endless and everlasting sunsets that continue straight into sunrises. Cows and sheep roam the fenced in fields surrounding the community. The area is child friendly, with a playground and sheltered beaches a few hundred meters from my home. There are no stores in Flø, but ice-cream, coffee and other neccecities can be bought at the campsite. However, we have an art gallery, Studio Hugo Opdal, where world -renowned artists exhibit and sometimes work.
Flø has many idyllic hiking paths, a great rock climbing/bouldering site, flat roads perfect for biking, rollerblading or skateboarding, many beaches featuring crystalline water ranging from serene, calm sugary white beaches inside the lagoon to the surf beach right below my appartment.
