Dávvi Siida offers both accomodation in addition to wilderness adventures and cultural experiences based on the Sámi heritage. We – the Utsi family – consist of Ellinor, mother and general manager, Ailu the father, sons Ànde Niilas and Ivvár Ailu, and daughter Sárá Márjá. Every member of our family works as a reindeer herder, and as host to travellers will gladly share our Sámi culture and reindeer-herding traditions. Reindeer herding is our family’s main livelihood. We follow our reindeer herd on its annual migration, from the winter pastures on Tana’s inland plateaus to the summer pastures of the Nordkinnhalvøya peninsula.
At Dávvi Siida, you can gain many insights into the history and cultural heritage of the indigenous people of the Arctic. Learn about the reindeer and enjoy getting close to these fascinating animals. Savour the beauty and tranquillity of this scenic land, and perhaps buy duodjii – traditional Sámi handicrafts – as mementos of your visit.
The Utsi family welcomes you – bures boahtin!

European continent. The peninsula called Nordkinnhalvøya is the site of our summer camp, and a favourite summer pasture area for our reindeer. Our Sámi design lodge offers accommodation in elegant and comfortable cabins overlooking a scenic landscape. This is a place to immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquillity of your natural surroundings. We take great pride in inviting you here and in doing our utmost as your hosts.
A stay at our Reindeer Design Lodge is ideal for travellers who wish to explore the far north, learn about our Sámi heritage and reindeer herding culture, enjoy healthy food, and learn how to let the wilderness nurture us and improve our quality of life. It is also an opportunity for a shared experience with your fellow travellers. Westerners say that “time passes”. A stay at the Reindeer Design Lodge is a great way to experience what the Sámi mean when they say: “Time comes to meet us.”
Our two beautiful cabins have a fully-equipped kitchen and private toilet. Shared shower facility with a sauna. Barbecue hut idyllically situated on the lake site. The cabin interiors are strikingly unique, with furnishings and décor inspired by Sámi culture.
