We are a family of 4 that has relocated from Los Angeles to Tromso. I'm a Norwegian, a producer and actress, my husband is American and a musician. Our two bi-lingual and bi-national daughters are both in elementary school. Last summer we moved into our "dream home", which we like to call our Arctic Villa. We have enjoyed our first winter here, some remodelling, and have since October of last year been welcoming guests from all over the world. Previously only on Airbnb, now exited to also be available here. Having spend many nights away from home, we hope to make your stay with us as special as it is to us.

The Historic Villa offers a stunning and rare panoramic view of the fjord, the city of Tromsø, and the surrounding mountains. Quietly tucked into our beautiful lush garden, and with a font row seat to the midnight sun, the northern lights, walks, wine, a good meal, and relaxation. The Arctic Villa is located in walking distance from the city center of Tromsø, next to the famed Ice Cathedral, and it is sitting right under the mountain top of Fløya. Shopping, restaurants, and cafes are all in walking distance.

The Arctic Villa is located on a sunny hillside in Tromsdalen, overlooking the fjord and mountains, sitting directly opposite the city center of Tromsø. Side by side to the famed Ice Cathedral, and right under Fjellheisen, the cable car mountain, and Fløya. Popular hikes are up Sherpatrappa to Fjellheisen, and to the Lavo in Tromsdalen. Shopping Mall, grocery stores, and cafes all in walking distance. Only a 15 minute walk over the bridge to the city center, an attraction in it selv. We live in a quiet neighborhood and have small children. This is not a party house. Enjoy yourself, but please no loud music or noise, especially between the hours of 10:00 pm-7:30 am. GETTING AROUND: A car is always great to have, but you don't need a car to get around in Tromsø. We are a small city, you can easily get around by foot, and the city offers great public transportation. Also, Parking in the city is expensive. We are only a 15 minute walk from the city center (approx. 1 km), and all the attractions close by us in Tromsdalen are only minutes away. Bus number 26 and 28 will both take you to the city, and back. Bus number 24 will take you all the way from the Airport to our Villa.
