Wake up to panoramic sea views, reindeer grazing outside your window, and the Arctic wilderness stretching out in every direction. Sjøsprøyt is a bright and spacious holiday home in modern Nordic style, with large windows that bring the landscape right into the living space.
From the terrace, guests often spot seabirds, ducks, and playful seals – and harbour porpoises are a common sight in the fjord. On rare but magical occasions, whales or orcas pass by in late autumn and early winter when the herring arrive.
The house features a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, TV with Apple TV, a cozy winter garden, and sleeping space for families or groups. Outside, a large terrace offers uninterrupted sea views, and a private outdoor jacuzzi can be prepared on request (NOK 1,500 per stay). The spacious garden has private parking, and from May to September a big trampoline is available – always a hit with children.
Sjøsprøyt’s location is peaceful and private, yet only 30 minutes from Hammerfest – the northernmost city in the world – and under 3 hours from the North Cape. It’s perfect as a stopover on your way north, or as a destination in itself for those seeking silence, sky, and space.
From late August to early April, you might see the northern lights dancing above the fjord. From mid-May to late July, the midnight sun lights up endless Arctic evenings – perfect for relaxing on the veranda.
We offer self check-in with a key box, quick and friendly communication, and helpful local tips before arrival. Whether you’re here for adventure or rest, Sjøsprøyt offers a stay you’ll never forget.
Hi, and welcome! We’re Tor Even and Hege – a couple living just outside Hammerfest with our three kids, a miniature poodle, and a cat. In spring 2025, we bought Sjøsprøyt to use as our own family retreat, but we’re also happy to share it with guests when we’re not there ourselves.
I (the host writing this) work in media as a freelance TV cameraman and photographer, while Hege works at the local hospital. We love the calm and open nature of this area, and Sjøsprøyt quickly became our favorite place to slow down, enjoy the view, and let the kids roam freely outdoors.
We hope you’ll feel at home here too, and we’re always happy to help with local tips or practical info. Whether you’re heading to North Cape, exploring Hammerfest, or simply looking for peace and northern skies – Sjøsprøyt is a great place to land.
Sjøsprøyt is set in a serene, rural corner just outside Hammerfest, offering both tranquility and easy access to city and nature. Guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere while being only 30 minutes from Hammerfest, the northernmost town in the world, and under 3 hours from the North Cape.
