Welcome to Cabin Idyll
We are a couple who want you to enjoy the cabin as much as we do – to share the wonderful experiences, the fresh air, the peacefulness, and the tranquility that this place offers.
Helen grew up in the area and knows all the best hiking trails and outdoor opportunities. Ken is originally from a coastal town, but after 20 years in the mountains, he has truly come to appreciate the charm, joys, and possibilities the mountains offer year-round, whether in summer or winter. He has become well-acquainted with the area, and together, we love everything from skiing in the winter landscape to long hikes and cycling trips in the summer season.
Cabin Idyll is the cabin we use ourselves when we visit the mountains. We have carefully preserved its traditional charm while ensuring it offers modern comforts such as electricity, heating, water, internet, and other technology to enhance your stay.
We are an active family with older children and teenagers, which is why we have chosen to have two living rooms. Sometimes, teenagers want their own space after a long day of skiing, hiking, or biking. One of our favorite activities is ice bathing in the river below the cabin – a refreshing experience that gives a real adrenaline rush
We truly love this place, both as adults and as a family, and we want to share this little gem with you.
We kindly ask you to take good care of the cabin as if it were your own. We are very fond of it and hope to keep it just as beautiful for future guests.
We focus on personal service and are happy to share our best tips for activities, hikes, and hidden gems, see iUvdal
